Norman began his professional painting
career in 1971 with commissions to paint
the portraits of U.S. Army officers at
U-Tapao U.S. Airforce Base, Thailand.

Norman moved to the U.S. in 1972 and
in 1973 began painting oil portraits for
Portrait Arts Inc. in Burbank, California.

He left Portrait Arts Inc. in 1980 to begin
his long career as a freelance artist.
