Rice and carrots/meat dish (again striving for creativity in this name) - this is a very yummy dish, the rice is well mixed with finely ground beef...

• 1 bag of carrots chopped into cubes

• 4 med onions chopped into cubes

• 1 lb of ground beef

• 2 tbsp curry powder

• 1 tpsp tumeric

• 2 tbsp black pepper

• 1.5 mugs of rice

Add meat with a bit of water with oil. Cook meat and let water evaporate. Cook onion in saucepan until clear. Add curry, tumeric, black pepper, and salt. Add carrots and add washed rice. Fill with water to the top of the pile and cook to high heat to boil. Simmer for 30 mins. Tastes great with some salsa

more notes from Hafids...

i cooked this last night and thought i'd pass on some handy notes.

serving size is a lot based on the amount of ingredients I wrote. This could easily serve 4. Anyway, get the onions cooking first in a saucepan because there are a lot once all chopped up. Cook the meat about half way through the onions being done in a deep saucepan that you'll use to do the entire dish in. When you add all the ingredients and fill with water, just cover to the top of the food, no more. The trick is so that after simmering for 30 mins there's no water left.

Tastes very yummy. Perfect with a light salad with lettuce, bell peppers, and cherry tomatoes......and my magical salad dressing.
